Unit Themes
The IB Primary Year Program (PYP) focuses on developing student academic and social growth around six transdisciplinary themes. This means that every 6-8 week PYP Unit will connect the student learning in all the core subjects and Specials classes to a particular overarching theme, where students must use what they have learned to deepen their understanding of a global or local issue.
IB Priorities
The International Baccalaureate Framework emphasizes student agency and student action. We believe that students must engage actively in their own learning process in order to fully understand that material presented. This also requires students to reflect on concepts that they are struggling with. With this focus, we strive to empower our students to take action when they see injustice and when they see a need for change.
